19 Jul Ocean speaks
Do you ever wonder what the ocean would say
If you communicated in waves
Or understood sea foam sprays
The expansive roar
And deafening pause
The golden light that skips across its rolling stage
The sun that dances during the day
Its liquid lava of intelligent rays
Yet without concern quietly slip away
As day gives way
The light fades
The voluminous depth of increasing shade
The sun surrendered to the night
Silver waters
Gliding moonlit light
In the dark what does the ocean become
In the void of black so vast
Timeless shadows away from the sun
How does it know, why can it see
Into the waters of future and past
Unfurling it all within your blood
With liquid force
Flowing and ebbing you undone
In cyclic rhythm, in tidal phase
The ocean knows water just needs to be
In organic movement, to be free
No control, not restrained
Then here you are returned again
First light giving way to day
The sunrise animates more ocean waves
I’m listening now, what will it say?
